The Riftanor client
Your gateway to the world of RiftanorThe launcher checks for client updates and downloads the game cache automatically on first start.
DOWNLOAD RIFTANOR.JARFirst launch may take a little longer while the game files download. Your character and progress stay on the game server.
THREE STEPS TO YOUR FIRST LOGIN
Download your client.
Save Riftanor.jar somewhere convenient. This is the file you will use each time you play.
Open it. Let the world load.
Double-click the Java client. It checks for updates and prepares the game files automatically.
Choose your name. Begin.
On your first visit, choose your character name and password in the game client. Returning players can use their existing game login.
The client will not open. What should I do?
Make sure Java 8 or newer is installed. You can get a supported Java runtime from Eclipse Adoptium. If double-clicking does not work, open a terminal in the folder containing the client and run java -jar Riftanor.jar. Share any error message with the Riftanor team.
Do I need to download the cache separately?
No. The client downloads the game cache automatically. Keep your internet connection active and let the first download finish.
How do I get the latest client update?
Close the game and reopen Riftanor.jar. The launcher checks for updates each time it starts. If you need a fresh copy, use the download button above.
Is my WordPress account my game account?
No. Sign in with your character details inside the game client. Your website login and game login are separate.
